Can you prevent the barcode from covering the postmark on my envelope?

Written by Travis Poole

We try very hard to yes! However, in some cases its not always possible. This is usually determined by the size of the envelope.

Traveling Mailbox barcodes each and every envelope that we receive so we can track your items and ensure that when a task is requested on an envelope, that we actually have the right one! In order to do this, Traveling Mailbox uses robotic arms and label applicators because we get so much mail!

In most cases, for standard size envelopes, the postmark is on the right hand side so we calibrate the robots and applicators to place the barcode at the center top of your envelope. This will in most cases, avoid the postmark date.
