Yes. When you switch to a different Traveling Mailbox location, you must submit a new USPS Form 1583 for every mail recipient associated with your new mailbox account.
Switching locations involves opening a new account. The form associated with your previous account does not replace the form required for the new account.
How to complete your new form
- Open your new Traveling Mailbox account and review your welcome email.
- Sign in to your online mailbox using a desktop or laptop.
- Select USPS Forms from the left-hand menu and complete the form for the new account.
- Schedule an appointment with Traveling Mailbox to verify your form, following the instructions provided.
Our Form 1583 help article explains the process, including verification with our team without a notary.
Before you close your previous account
Complete your new-account setup, update your senders directly, and confirm that mail is arriving at your new location. Keep your previous mailbox active during this transition.
